	*Welcome to Region VII's Webpage!* Region VII UM SHPE's 3rd Annual Regional Beach BBQ UM SHPE presents to you its Third Annual Tropical Themed Regional Beach BBQ! On Saturday, August 25th they will be having many games and activities such as $2 buy-in tournaments for dominoes, poker, and volleyball. Also a "Most Tropically" dressed contest, and much more! So get your bathing suit, hula hoops, straw hats, hawaiian shirts, guayaberas, anything you feel is tropical, and get ready for a fantastic tropical saturday. Please RSVP either on Facebook or at shpe.studorg@miami.edu. All Region VII members and guests are invited! UF is hosting an all day event on October 20th. All funds collected from the event will be going to a local middle school in Gainesville. It is $10 per person, or $100 per team. It is a co-ed event, and you need at least two girls to play. An arrangement can be made for girls to be on your team if there aren't any. UF welcomes all SHPE chapters and looks forward to seeing everone there. SHPE Raffle Ok guys, the raffle is free money. You get 50% of every ticket sold. Members from the South Florida Professional Chapter and the University of Miami Student Chapter were present. NILA 2007

Thank You to all the student and professional leaders that participated in this year's National Institute for Leadership Advancement!

Our region had 100% participation from our student chapters!! This is a great start to our SHPE year!

The 2007 SHPE Conference marks the beginning of a new era for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). The SHPE Conference, formerly called the National Technical and Career Conference (NTCC) and held in January, is the largest Hispanic technical conference in the nation. This fall we anticipate over 6,000 Hispanic students, professionals, corporate representatives and community leaders from around the country to attend SHPE's premier event.
