Registration

Professional and student chapters are guaranteed one chapter officer attendee for NILA.  If a chapter elects to send a second chapter officer, the second officer may register on a first come first served basis until registration capacity is reached.  NOTE: Registration and payment are required by the registration deadline above.

  • Registration Dates are as follows:
    • Registration opens April 1st, 2008
    • Early Registration Ends June 16th, 2008 at 11:59pm PST
    • Registration closes June 30th, 2008 at 11:59pm PST
  • Registration will be done online via OneSHPE only.  Paper Registration will NOT be available.
  • Registration and payment are required by the registration deadline above.
  • All applicants must update their Career Profile in OneSHPE prior to registering for NILA.
  • If you do not have a OneSHPE ID, go to the OneSHPE Login page and click on "Create OneSHPE ID".  If you are unable to create one, send an email to webmaster@shpe.org
Registration Fee Includes:
  • Roundtrip Airline ticket to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas (SHPE will make arrangements)
  • Shuttle transportation from and to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
  • Three complete meals, plus snacks throughout the day.
  • Single guest room accommodation (as space allows)
  • June 16th, 2008 - Early Registration Deadline
    $300 per person if registration and payment are received on or before this date.
  • June 30th, 2008 - Registration Deadline
    $350 per person if registration and payment are received on or before this date, on space availability only.

Registration Checklist (Students and Professionals)

- Be a paid SHPE Member
- Login to OneSHPE
- Login to OneSHPE using your ID
- Update your Career Profile in My Career - required for Students
- Click on the Conference Registration link in My Portal
- Click on NILA 2008 and fill out your information - (travel is being handled by SHPE)
- Enter payment and print payment receipt
- Visit the rest of the NILA website for other pertinent information

Important Reminders:
  • If chapter elections have not taken place, you may register and submit payment for your chapter and submit the name of the participant after elections.
  • If you need to update your summer contact information, send an email to membership@shpe.org
  • DO NOT submit your payment transaction more than once.  If you receive an error submitting your credit card payment, please send an email with the error to webmaster@shpe.org
  • Chapter Advisors can now register online!  Be on the lookout for an email from the Membership Department for more information.
Cancellation Policy

To cancel a registration, the participant must contact, in writing, the membership department on or before July 21, 2008 in order for the participant’s chapter to receive a full refund. The committee may be reached at (323) 725-3970 or nila@shpe.org. 

"No Show" Policy

If for any reason a participant fails to arrive at NILA on August 7th (students) without contacting the membership department on or before July 21, 2007, the participant will be regarded as a "No Show". Participants who are considered "No Shows" will not receive a refund.
