Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Colorado Rapids Stadium
Turner Construction is proud to host a tour of "Dick's Sporting Goods Park", the future home of the MLS Colorado Rapids. The 18,000-seat outdoor stadium and 24 full-sized outdoor fields will be the largest professional soccer complex in the world. The stadium is being pre-fitted for concert setups of up to 26,000 fans. The distinguishing feature of the project is the "tectonic plate" roof structure that serves to emulate the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains to the west. The stadium will serve as a focal point for the 200-acre Prairie Gateway Development that will add incredible value to the entire community. Other aspects of the Prairie Gateway Development will provide much needed civic, retail, and entertainment venues for Commerce City, stimulating additional growth throughout this historic city.
The tour commences at approximately 9 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2007 and will last approximately 3 hours. The soccer complex is east of downtown Denver in Commerce City, CO and is a thirty minute bus ride away. A charted bus will transport you to and from the facility. The tour departs from the Hyatt Regency lobby at 8:15 AM. This tour can accommodate a maximum number of 50. If you sign-up for this tour you will need to wear hard sole shoes, i.e. work boots. Please, no sneakers. Also wear a warm coat and bring a hat and gloves, as this tour has outdoors portions. Register no later than 12/29/2006.
