Who is elegible for professional membership?
Professional membership is open to graduates of all engineering, math, physical, applied, and computer science majors. All others are invited to become associate members. Graduate students have the option to join SHPE either as a student or Professional Chapter. If you choose not to be affiliated with a chapter on your campus, you will be considered an "At-Large Member," classified by your geographical region. Members "At-Large" receive the same benefits as those who belong to a chapter.

What is the membership term?
The Professional Membership Term runs from August 31 to September 1. Students must renew their membership on a yearly basis to be eligible for the membership benefits.

What are the annual dues?
Annual regular professional membership dues are $45/yr or $35/yr depending on membership classification. For a description of all professional classifications and dues please see the membership classification section.
