SHPE / ComEd 2010 Scholarship
The
SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), Chicago Chapter, and ComEd
are offering scholarships of $2,000 each. Undergraduate and graduate Hispanic
students majoring in a STEM field (Natural Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Math) and whose primary residence is in Illinois qualify. The application
and eligibility criteria can be found by following the link below.
The
application is due on April 15, 2010.

an incentive, your National Undergraduate Representative, Sara Rios, and Vice

Regional
Leadership Development Conference (RLDC 2010) – April 22-25
The
Region 6 RLDC for 2010 will be held at the University of Minnesota at the Twin
Cities campus. I encourage all of you to start registering for the RLDC as the
late registration deadline is approaching. If you sign up prior to the early
registration deadline on April 4th, cost of attendance will be $60 per student/
$80 per professional. Registration includes lodging.Late registration will be from April 5 – April
16.Cost of attendance during the late
period will be $80 per student / $100 per professional.

Register for the Region 6 Leadership Development Conference
The University of Minnesota Twin Cities Student SHPE Chapter and the Twin Cities Professional SHPE Chapter are proud to host the Region 6 Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) for 2010. The conference will be held at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota April 22-25. This conference will offer students the opportunity to learn what it takes to be real leaders, while at the same time working on group projects that will give them the experience they need to see what true Leadership entails.
