Greetings Region VI
 
My name is Andrew Sierra and I will be serving as your Regional Student Representative (RSR).  I am in my last semester at the Illinois Institute of Technology and I am double majoring in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.  I became involved in SHPE through Latinos Involved in Further Education (LIFE).  LIFE was the only hispanic student organization at IIT and I joined it when I was a freshmen.  the following year I was introduced to the SHPE National Conference by the president of LIFE and I went to Phoenix Arizona to experience my very first conference.  Since then we have worked hard to get SHPE-IIT up and running and have had a successful first year as an official student org. 
 
It gives me great pleasure to be able to help Barry Cordero continue improving this organization.  With our goals in place we will work hard to achieve each and every last one of them.  I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we are here to help each of your chapters.  I will personally take it upon myself to respond to emails, text, gchat, and phone calls as soon as I receive them.  I will also check facebook or any other form of communication you find easier to use, just let me know.  Anything your chapters need help is always available and we will not turn anyone down.
