Dear Region 7 members,
I hope your academic year is off to a great start. I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Laura Neira, I am your current regional student representative (RSR). It is with great enthusiasm that I ask you to join me in continuing to make this one, the best year for our region and organization; and to continue to increase the impact of the fulfillment of the SHPE mission – to change lives. The regional team, your local leaders, and yourselves have worked arduously for 3 months now to continue proving the nation that region 7 will continue growing and developing its outstanding members.
On behalf of Region 7, it is my pleasure to cordially invite you to attend the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers’ National Conference 2011. It will take place in the Anaheim, CA Convention Center from October 26 through October 30, 2011. This four-day event is one of the largest Hispanic technical gatherings of its kind, bringing together more than 4,000 Hispanic attendees, including corporate, industry and government recruiters who want to meet you. This real world, hands-on experiential learning environment creates an opportunity for you to enhance and develop your leadership, technical, and soft skills.
