Hello Region 7,

My name is Natalia Ariza and I am your Regional Student Representative. I have been part of SHPE for 3 years and it is great optimism that I begin this academic year. I trust that our regional leaders; including professionals, sub-RSRs, executive boards and members will help us accomplish all the goals we have set for our region. With team effort and a lot of dedication, every single one of us can be an example for our communities and at the same time build up a great network of excellent SHPE chapters. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have new ideas for your chapters, for our region and even if you ever need anything for your career advancement. SHPE has provided us with a set of tools that are crucial for a STEM student’s career and that is why I will do my best to provide that support and motivation for our Region 7 SHPE members.

Among our goals we have: the establishment of at least 9 SHPE Jr. Chapters, the improvement of our academic performance, creating a regional unity, providing support to international students and reaching 1400 student members!

With this said, I want to wish you the best for this upcoming year. Strive for the 4.0 and let’s provide this country the source for Quality Hispanic Engineers and Technical Talent.
