The following tracks are currently on the schedule:
Professional Development Series PDS is
designed to assist the mid-level professional to accelerate to the next
career stage. These SHPE National seminars are exclusively available to
SHPE professional members, who hold a current SHPE membership card.

Conversations Description: Group discussions on the
specific barriers people face when engaging in crucial conversations
and skills to produce positive

Business Development Track The new
Business Development Track is designed as a new series of informative
workshops that enhances Engineer’s skills in Business and provides
tools needed to grow professionally and personally.
Project
Management with Microsoft Project Description: This
session will bring together the use of specific MS applications
demonstrations and strong workplace rules of thumb to improve time
usage, organization, communication methods and other elements to
ameliorate the attendee’s professional skills and their respective
overall workplace. How and Why to get an
MBA Description: A panel of top B-School
recruiters and MBA professionals will discuss why so many people are
pursuing their MBA. The participants will learn what opportunities
await to the MBA graduate, the benefits of different programs, and help
you discover what’s right for you. Experts will discuss the admission
process and the complete MBA application strategies that have worked at
the toughest schools at the United States.
Engineering Entrepreneurship 101: The
Basics Description: Fundamentals of starting your
own corporation through the small business administration. Find the
difference between Corp. vs. Inc vs. Limited Liability Partnerships.
Also how does one organization differ in terms of protecting your
personal assets in case the company folds. Find out liability vs. tax
incentives and also how to use the Small Business Administration’s
website acquire funding and organization
templates. Engineering Entrepreneurship 102: Patent
Law Description: How to patent an invention.
Learn the differences between copyrights and trademarks.
International Track A series of seminars
presenting work by Engineers around the globe. Several PhD
level engineers will be discussing the latest applications from
engineering fundamentals.
Green/Sustainable Engineering Track This
new track provides a series of courses designed to teach Green
Engineering Fundamentals and how nearly every industry is using and
being affected by this new trend.
Continuous Learning Certification Track A
series of courses providing certification to engineering professionals
by the end of the conference. We plan on having at least 3
certification courses available to registered members. A
certification in Project Management will definitely be among
